How to Refuse, Reduce, Recycle and Reuse

Hello everyone who is reading my blog. In my class we have been doing t-shaped literacy about recycling. We are learning to know the difference between recycle, reduce, reuse and refuse. Reduce means cutting back on the amount of trash we make all through the year. Reuse means keep reusing stuff. Like for example a plastic water bottle that you buy from countdown, clean it then fill it with water and it can still be reused. the last example for refusing, Refuse means to throw it away in the rubbish if it’s not coming in handy.

Plant animation

This is my plant animation to explain how and what a plant needs to grow.
I had to read stories to learn about plants. On one of the stories that
I read it was called Gardening in the Living room. Here is some information.
Find a good place that has water, light, warmth, air and nutrients.
It's good for plants. They absorb minerals and water through their roots
and turn them into something sticky which is called zap, it is the plants blood.
It moves water and minerals around the plant where they are needed.  They
absorb energy from the sun and use it to turn the water from the soil into
carbon dioxide. (Co2) from the air into different kinds of sugars. Plants
need these sugars to grow branches, leaves, flowers and fruit and oxygen.
Sugar goes up their roots into the leaves and then they grow to a tree
flowers or they create fruit. different fruits and vegetables grow in
different spaces and times of the day. Plants can overcook just like us,
when the temperature gets too hot in the living room the plants get to
dehydrated, there are also vents on the top of the living room when they
open the hot air leaks out. The living room is cool and the plants can provide
more food.

Makerspace

Hi my name is Brisa, on Friday we did a maker space
(Making stuff) we had to be in groups of 5. In my group there was, Fern, Akira, Yazmin, Ayanda and myself. We made a delicious salad with, almonds, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers, pears, carrots, grapes and some lemon juice and parsley for extra topping. We used parsley from our own class garden.

How plants grow and how to plant plants …
